Hi all,

I will be leading a MRVAC field trip this Sunday, June 11th at the Cannon
River Bottoms. Target birds include Cerulean Warbler, Acadian Flycatcher,
Ovenbird, Wood Thrush, and Yellow-billed Cuckoo, all of which have been
found on previous trips. We will meet at 7:30 at the trail head of this
little known state trail outside of Red Wing. The trail is on an old
railroad bed so it is an easy level walk, but it will probably be buggy and
possibly overgrown. The field trip is free and open to all. Stay as long as
you wish. It is an easy trail back to the cars.

Directions : From Highway 52 by Hampton, take Hwy 50 east towards Red Wing.
The road will turn into Highway 61. Follow it down the long hill and at THE
BOTTOM of the hill turn left onto CR 46 (the first road after the road to
the casino). At the fork take the right road (Collischan Road). A couple of
miles down the road you will pass two houses and the road will fork again.
Take the left fork into the trail head parking area. If you don't find it,
call me at 612 978 a 3993.
