Mary Lee and I birded AHATS, the old arsenal area, from 6:30-9:00 this
morning. In spite of the early fog there was good activity as we found 55
species. The best finds were Dickcissels in two different grassy areas, a
pair of eastern Towhees, singing Willow and Alder Flycatchers, Trumpeter
Swans with seven young, Common Loons with one young and an American Woodcock
doing his slow ground dance across a gravel road.

We are doing a survey each month of the 2017 year.
