The pair of Red-shouldered hawks that have nested in the nature area behind our 
home in Chanhassen for many years have once again successfully fledged a 
juvenile hawk. The young one has been very entertaining, tipping over a feeder 
tray while trying to land on it, perching on the ground below our feeders in 
the midst of feeding squirrels and rabbits, who completely ignore the young 
hawk and go about their business as the hawk watches intently. Between the 
young one constantly calling , it's parents constantly calling back from a 
distance, and the Blue Jay mimics, it sounds like we have dozens of RS Hawks 
calling at times from the woods. I was awakened this morning by the young one 
screaming outside our bedroom window
