I agree with the concern that some other members have voiced - that "due =
process" cannot be compromised. But I also believe that posting mug =
shots is feasible and could serve the interests of law enforcement and =
the community as well if the concept was approached in a responsible =
manner. I would propose that a proactive "Leaders Circle" group be =
formed with the objective of tracking local cases and from them ... =
develop the policies and practices that would guide those who would post =
on web. I'm sure that financing could be obtained through such programs =
such as (CAPS) Citizens Aiding Police Service, the Wilder Foundation, =
the Urban Institute, or possibly the NRP to name a few.
