I've switched to ssmtp now which seems to have the same functionality
(and the same issue of not rewriting to properly), less dependencies:
libgsasl.x86_64 1.8.0-6.fc23 libntlm.x86_64 1.4-4.fc23
libsecret.x86_64 0.18.3-1.fc23 msmtp.x86_64 1.6.2-2.fc23
And better debug. Also prefer ini = style of config.
