Thank you too, Chris. We did the same thing a few months back but I wanted to
update and use the new diagcab.

Never got the .diagcab to run silently, but a lot of people, including myself,
just ripped out the scrub scripts (vbs scripts that actually perform the
uninstall) from it and scripted an uninstall in PowerShell.

Thanks for confirming, James. Hoping someone had a chance to get some support
from Microsoft on it . . .

I attempted to get this same thing working at one time and never could. I ran
into the same issue that you're experiencing. I could never find the mini cab
file it required. I ended up going back to the scrub files and had to use logic
in my script to detect which version of Office they had and run the appropriate
scrub vbs.

Rather than using the version specific Office Scrub vbs files the
updated<https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Uninstall-Office-from-a-PC-9dd49b83-264a-477a-8fcc-2fdf5dbf61d8?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US>
 automated solution uses PS scripts.

Anyone know the way to run such .diagcab solutions silently? Sending it
parameters or answerfile?

At the bottom of the page at this link IT Professionals: Microsoft easy fix
unattended
installation<https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2970908/how-to-use-microsoft-easy-fix-solutions>,
Microsoft provides guidance for solutions with the extension: .diagcab for
silent deployment throughout an enterprise IT environment.

When I try and run their suggestion with the new Office removal
o15-ctrremove.diagcab, the log file says it is looking for a mini.diagcab
(which is what their sample shows too).
