Well what I meant is that when manually selecting the RAM by using direct
I/O the effect is the same: the data is loaded somewhere else then it has to
be loaded... So I thought the problem could be of the same kind.

By the way, so the BDOS doesn't support it if the RAM is in another mapper
eh??? Well isn't that an 'error' in the design of MemMan (or rather: of
Dos2)? Anyways, when doing the 'only from primary mapper'-trick then you can
as well use the built-in Dos2 mapperroutines... they're faster and won't
have to be loaded in advance...

Well in the Memory menu you can press space and then move left/right to
change the mapperpages (if I remember correct). When you have changed
everything so it fits to your wishes -that is using the RAM from the
secondary mapper in your case-, then quit the mappermenu and select SAVE
SETTINGS in the preferences-menu (if I'm correct). You'll see that next time
you run Compass it still is loaded into the secondary mapper.

But what are you working on then???
Continued with Dome again???

Hope so. Also hope to see you at the Marathon.
