In what way? sound/graphics/interfaces/cpu's etc? In that case you're wrong.
Did you ever see a C128D (8bit,1985) equiped with a GraphicBooster/RamLink-
16mb/Warp-8/SCSI + IDE ports/4mb REU/Final Cartridge III/Action Replay VI/
4SIDCard/not to mention a Z80 (8080 actually), MS Basic version 7 and C64
compatibility out-of-the-box, and loads of other C64/C128 accesories ?

Wrong, the C64/C128 scene is still alive and kicking and is much bigger
then the MSX scene was or will ever be. If someone wants to argue about
this, please get your facts straight!
There is still new quality C64/C128 hardware being developed, there are
still paper and disk magazines, loads of active sceners and meetings (don't
miss the upcomming RADWAR party!), and new and old software is being
released almost every day!
Kind regards
