Folks--

================================================================
MYSTERIES CONFERENCE IS ON FOR THIS SATURDAY!
================================================================

Mysteries of Space and Sky V: Nov 1 | Anne Arundel Community
College, MD | Next weekend!
9:30AM -- 5:30PM |

Featuring Dr. David Jacobs on the latest Alien/Hybrid
Theories |
UFO - Military Encounters in World War II by Keith Chester,
author of "Strange Company" |
Anna Jamerson with an all-new visual presentation on her
joint abduction experiences |
Dr. Peter Resta with a brand-new take on the Pasgagoula Case
|
Rob and Sue Swiatek with fascinating case data | Don
Berliner's recollections of a life of UFO studies |
And the Extraterrestrial Keyboard Stylings of "Luiniss"!

Many of you have received this flyer in the mail -- some
picked it up. The school sends this out to anyone who
attended in the past 3 years, as well as all Maryland
registered MUFON members. These people should have received
a flyer many weeks ago. If you forgot about it, or otherwise
missed the information, there is still time to register, but
don't delay! Last year we sold out and the school actually
turned a few people away.

We are in the same room as last year. The seats are posh,
comfortable theatre-style seats that are installed and
cannot be squeezed together to make room for more seats. At
this point, fax it ASAP. I will still pop a flyer in the
mail so you have something to bring with you, but let me
know ASAP. I go by a central post office twice a day and you
would no doubt get it the next day. I would suggest calling
the school ASAP at 410-777-2325 if you can't fax by FRIDAY.
Here is the link to the speakers list, directions and
registration form:

Remember, this is a course at a school, and we do not
control the website, layout of the flyer, the mailings,
registration process, and are not privy to who has
registered, etc. We are only told the number registered.
Some of their links seem to go nowhere, but don't look at
me! Cost is $30 for Anne Arundel County residents and goes
up to $45 if you live outside the State of Maryland.

For those of you who were here last year, it is in the same
room as then (CALT 107). For newcomers, Anne Arundel
Community College is in a small town called Arnold near
Annapolis. Take Route 50 east to exit 27, To Route 2 North
(Governor Ritchie Highway) towards Baltimore. Stay on Route
2 for about three miles. Turn right on West Campus Drive,
where you will see a big sign for the Big Vanilla Gym. At
the three-way intersection, Go Straight. The building
straight ahead is the Center for Applied Learning and
Technology (CALT). Park there in the lot next to the
building. Enter building & look for classroom 107. There
will be someone there to help you.

     SMITH MTN LAKE CONFERENCE COMMENTS
=================================================

I want to thank all of you that came down to Smith Mtn Lake
Sept 27th with us and enjoyed a great weekend. A wonderful
feeling of camraderie and sharing was able to take place
which was enhanced by the layout of the luxurious condos --
a sweeping view of the lake with plenty of room to
socialize. A good time was had by all.

The abduction case discussed at the Smith Mtn Lake
Conference is airing this fall on the Discovery Channel
under the name of "UFO's Over Earth: The Fayetteville Case."
It was on last night and will be on quite a bit in the near
future. These listings came from their website, but check
your local listings.

North Carolina Fayetteville Case on Discovery Channel:
MUFON - the Mutual UFO Network - Investigate a UFO sighting,
and possible alien abduction, using the tools of science,
psychology and law enforcement.

Nov 03, 12:00 pm | Nov 15, 8:00 pm | Nov 16, 12:00 am

Message from Richard Lang regarding the new Discovery
series:

The Discovery Shows (all three) are all about MUFON
Investigators. Discovery Channel portrays our Field
Investigators in a very professional way. These shows are
actually about our investigators working on the cases. They
all look very good.

The first Show features North Carolina MUFON in
Fayetteville. Steve McGee (NC MUFON FI) is the lead
investigator, along with myself and James Carrion. Norm
Gagnon (STAR Team) is also involved. It is about the Chris
Bledsoe experience on the Cape Fear River.

The second show is about cases in Pennsylvania and the third
show is about a MUFON investigator team in Mexico. All look
great and portray our Field Investigators and MUFON in a
very professional and positive way.

The second and third shows will air sometime in November as
well. I will let you know as soon as we hear back from
Discovery.

The Anomalist site mentioned the conference twice:
September 29, referring to "UFO Buffs Sighted at Lake
Awhile, Then Vanish," The Roanoke Times article by Jay
Conley. Original article:

A more thorough article ran on the Roanoke Times website:
"UFO buffs convene to discuss sightings" by Laurie Edwards

On October 1, Anomalist referred to Dr. Henry Bauer's blog
dated September 29 titled, "Of UFOs, Loch Ness monsters,
Independent Thinkers, and dogmatists." His site has posts of
his UFO talk in MS Word as well as PowerPoint. I recommend
those that attended to read his thoughtful piece, as some of
you are mentioned (like the Franklins). Original link:
