"I'm amazed at the imagination of these people," said Tsuu T'ina spokesman Peter Manywounds. "They're way out in left field." The photos show trees being removed and work being done to widen an existing road on the reserve -- suggesting workers are clearing a path for a ring road through the Weaselhead area next to the reserve, said Roberta Hicklin of the Weaselhead/South Glenmore Park Preservation Society. "I've stated in the past my belief that this road is a done deal." But Manywounds said the construction is only to widen a road on the old CFB Calgary site so reserve residents can use it safely. While accepting Manywounds' explanation, Hicklin said she's worried the road will go ahead without any say from local residents. Tsuu T'ina Nation members are to vote on the road question Friday.
