The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) has completed the Phase 1 
pre-project design review of Westinghouse's Advanced Passive Power Plant Design 
- AP1000, and the principal findings are available in the Executive Summary. A 
Phase 1 review involves an overall assessment of the reactor design against the 
CNSC regulatory requirements and expectations for the design of new nuclear 
power plants in Canada.
