Just an idea, It would be exceedingly useful if in the error log, either as it is now or new proposed one, that the actual routine that caused an error gave as part of its message, the file that called it. I had several new files added to my config file. One failed. but the message that I got from my cron service just said Use of uninitialized value at /...dirnamechanged.../.NewsClipper/NewsClipper/Handler/Filter/hash2string.pm line 91. This then caused me to have to track down a needle in a haystack. If it had said Error: <callingconfigfilename> during <callingnewsclipperfile> caused Use of uninitialized value at /...dirnamechanged.../.NewsClipper/NewsClipper/Handler/Filter/hash2string.pm line 91. It would have been better. I added the config file as part of the message as you can have multiple configfiles using the same Newsclipper installation.
