Perl on Windows is usually tricky. (The problems you had with the newer version of Perl are 1 example of the "gotchas". The missing Storable module is another.) If you'd like to make handlers, I suggest reading the handler tutorial at http://www.newsclipper.com/handlers.htm#Handler_Tutorial Since I haven't had a chance to update the page to reflect the 1.20 handler style, I also suggest looking at the CHANGES file in the open source distribution, and also looking at the existing handlers already in the database.
