Roman and all,Thanks for the interest but this group hasn't been that active lately. There have been various efforts to revive it but nothing has really come about. So I'm going to plug my own site here because we blog about alot of infosec events around NoVA as well as in DC and southern MD. The site is at http://www.novainfosecportal.com.
Grecs,Thank you for posting this link to your website. The information that I found there (regarding NoVA eMail lists and networking for the Info Sec professional) is _exactly_ the sort of information that I have long sought.
Now, does anyone have an analogous list for NoVA communities in these fields: (a) digital forensics exams, (b) electronic data discovery (EDD), often called "e-Discovery?" I am already aware of an EDD group on LinkedIn that is called "b-Discovery" and founded by Dan Regard.
Sincerely, Paul Bain
Another proposal I'd like to make is that our site would be willing to coordinate future NovaSec events (e.g., speakers and other discussion topics) if that would be of any interest to anyone. We don't have any facilities to host meetings but I've seen others on this list offer various locations. I can't remember who they all are but please respond to this meeage if still interested.Well, that is about it. Let me know what you think.
