[nsroots] Obituary of J.R. MacDonald

Here is one of the Obituaries requested by Kim Barlow; unfortunately  
I don't know the source, but I guess that it might be The Pictou  
Advocate:

[Sept 14, 1951: this date is handwritten on the copy of the obituary  
that I obtained from the Pictou County Roots Society in New Glasgow.]

	"MEADOWVILLE. Sept 24 -- His many friends in this community were  
saddened to learn of the death of John Robert MacDonald, which  
occurred at his home on Friday, September 14. Mr. MacDonald was in  
his 71st year, a son of the late Daniel and Helen Munro MacDonald of  
Millsville. He was a man of sterling character and respected by all  
who knew him.
	Besides his wife, the former Elizabeth MacCara, he leaves an adopted  
son and daughter, Andrew, at home, and Joyce, Mrs. Edwardh Lynch; a  
sister, Margaret, and a brother, Angus, of Scotsburn. Four brothers  
and one sister predeceased him.
	The funeral, which was largely attended, was held from his home an  
Sunday afternoon, Sept. 16, conducted by his pastor, Rev. J.H.  
Williams. Interment was in Bethel cemetery, Scotsburn.
	The pall bearers were Andrew MacCara, Foreman MacCara, Edward Lynch,  
Fisher MacLellan, Charles MacKay and Murray MacCara.
	The large attendance and the beautiful floral tributes gave silent  
testimony of the esteem in which he was held."
