To answer the query of a poster on another board, I looked up a marriage on www.novascotiagenealogy.com. I found entries which I hope an nsrooter can explain.....
There are 3 entries for a marriage of a Richard Finch [soldier born in Oxford, England son of James carpenter & Harriet] to Minnie Boudreau [born Arichat, daughter of Abraham sea captain & Annie]; 1895 Sep 30 1819/66/370 aged 24 & 21 witnesses Wm Oakes & Saidie Caker, 1896 Sep 10 1819/101/353 aged 25 & 21 witnesses Jos Davies & Lindon [?] Spinney, 1897 May 29 1819/125/155 aged 26 & 22 witnesses H Miller & E Miller. The GRO index of Army marriages gives one for Richard Finch Halifax 1897 [page 262]. Are these 3 different marriages with amazing co-incidence?
