[nsroots] Family Tree info to share for NS to USA John S. Hays or Hayes family 1860's to present

Hi - I have family tree information available to share and I am looking for
earlier NS family information.

John Stuart Hays (Hayes) born 1835 in Nova Scotia was my 2nd great
grandfather.

His NS birth affirmation comes from US CENSUS and US military civil war
records, and from 1860 on in Pennsylvania I have US census and personal family
records and photographs for decedents down to my generation in USA. 

I do not have information about his NS family or how, when and with whom he
moved to the the USA.  Would like advice on how to pursue research on this.
