Hi Listers,Re Betty's question about the reference to the RODD in "Road to Avonlea". I suspect it is an oblique reference to the IODE (Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire) which had already been established in Canada at the time the story is supposed to have taken place. Montgomery may have deliberately changed the name, perhaps as a jest. Or the writers may not have been free to refer to the IODE in their screenplay, as it is now a trademarked name rather than an abbreviation.
