Good Morning
I'm seeking information on my GG Grandfather " James H Munro " {not the
teacher, who frequently pops up in Ancestry.com queries}. He was a "shoemaker"
born (reportedly) in Yarmouth ~1840. d.?? His wife was Hannah {sometimes listed
as Rebecca, her middle name} Horton b. 14 Feb 1844 d. 26 Mar 1915 in Sand
Beach, Yarmouth, NS. Their children that I have discovered so far {and am
seeking More info on, as well}:
Mary "Delta" Munro b. 17 Nov 1866 Cape Canso, NS d. 30 Nov 1909 Lynn, Ma m.13
Feb 1890
George Washington Munro b. 21 Jun 1875 Plymouth, Yarmouth, NS d. 22 Mar 1935
Boston, Ma
John Coleman Munro (my G grandfather) b. 3 Aug 1878 Yarmouth, NS d. 12 Oct 1956
Boston, Ma
William Munro b. 17 Jul 1879 {that's all I have for him!, seeking more} d.??
Eva Munro b. 20 Feb 1883 NS {I know she came to Marblehead, Ma for a year in
1900 to live with older sister "Delta" and family. And then appears according
1901 census to have returned to NS. Sadly, I have no further info on her} d.??
Carrie May Munro b. 18 Feb 1885 NS (marriage roster claims 1890? which is
real??) m. 12 Dec 1912 Boston, Ma d.??
Lavinia B Munro b. 18 Jul 1888 NS d. ??
It seems that the family bounced between Yarmouth and Guyborough Counties {I
assume it's where the work was for James}. The records on the family are also
sometimes spelled "Munroe", which has made searching tricky.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time
Joanne Collins
