I'm perhaps grasping at straws but it certainly is worth a try as Nova Scotia rooters have been of amazing assistance to me in the past.
I'm looking for an Elisabeth Ann (Betsy) Hunter who married Hugh Cowperthwaite on March 1, 1838 in Canning Parish, Queens County, New Brunswick. Hugh died in 1885 and is buried in Jacksonville, Carleton County, New Brunswick where they lived. After his death Betsy moved to Truro and lived with her daughter, Mary, who had married Stephen Fulton Archibald in 1870. Although Stephen and Mary lived in Truro, Betsy may have lived for a time in Windsor, Nova Scotia. She had a son, Charles Cowperthwaite who died at age 36 in Windsor but is buried in Jacksonville with his father. Mary died in 1936 in Truro. I have suspicions that Elisabeth Ann (Betsy) Cowperthwaite, Mary's mother, may be buried in the Truro area as I cannot find a gravestone marker for her in New Brunswick. In brief, Elisabeth Ann (Betsy Hunter) Cowperthwaite was born in 1817 and died after 1885. Is there a site for old cemeteries in the Truro area ? Any help in this regard would be much appreciated.
