Hi Listers....

I grew up in Glenholme, and live in Maryland now, but when I was a child,
there was a Lloyd Morrison family, there was Lloyd, his wife Edna and daughter
LaVerne. LaVerne was an only child, was approximately four years older than
I (which would make her 66 -67) and she went into nursing at the Aberdeen in
New Glasgow.

Edna died a couple of years ago, but when she lived in Glenholme she ran the
post office from a room in her house for as long as I can remember. If you
are in Glenholme, here are the directions to the house and I would suspect
that either LaVerne may live there or someone bought the house.

At the intersection of TC 104 and Rt. 2 (coming from Truro) make a left, the
first house should be the garage and across from the garage is the house I
grew up in, then go across the road, and there are two houses almost side by
side, one was Irving Morris and his wife, and the next was Lloyd and his
family. There was a white fence that ran along the edge of his yard and a
plank walkway that led into the shelter for the post office.

No better information, but hope this helps someone.

amily Reunion
They could be from anywhere in North America. Captain John Morrison came
ere in 1760, and traded land in Truro with the Archibalds (1767). His
hildren were
Robert (1753-1795)
John (1754-1821)
James (1756-1842)
William (1757-1776)
Elizabeth (1758; married Samuel Morison)
Jeremiah (1759-1842)
Hannah (1761-1813)
Jonathan (1763-1842)
Samuel (1765-1842)
What facts that are known are laid out in The Morrison Book.

I am the direct descendant of
- John (m. Martha Anderson)
- Daniel (m. Rachel MacLellan)
- Alexander Dick (m. Margaret McNutt, and later, Sarah Vance)
- Joseph Howe (m. Sarah Jane Mahon)
- Josephine (m. William Smith)
- Frank Smith (m. Jean Sutherland)
- Linda (m. Murray Giddens)

Just at a guess, everyone who grew up along the shore will be related some
ow.

Linda
