Baldwin 10 Sep Looking out my den window before preparing supper, a reddish tailed thrush landed on a branch. But it didn't seem right for a Hermit Thrush since it also was reddish elsewhere.. Fortunately, it spun in place so I could see the overall bird.. The bird perfectly matched the description of a Bicknell's Thrush (as of the time of the split from Gray-cheeked Thrush). Unfortunately, since then, it has been determined that the plumages overlap. This has been my first clear cut Bicknell's/Gray-cheeked can't tell them apart Thrush.
