*NY County Highlights*:

American Black Duck (3), Yellow-crowned Night-Heron (4 nestlings), Killdeer
(8), Least Sandpiper (2), American Kestrel, Fish Crow (10+) & Brown-headed
Cowbird (54+).

A smallish dark heron that wasn't a Night-Heron was seen moving from the
maintenance field towards Hammock Grove. I had a brief binocular view but
it disappeared behind some trees.

A Common Tern with a band was photographed on the west side of the island
while it was fishing. The portion of the band visible appears to be "A05".
Not sure if this is enough. See photo on checklist.

A Fish Crow with a lower pitched call was recorded east of Fort Jay. The
crow goes into it's typical pitch once at 50" and again at 1'30". Audio,
recorded with an iPhone, is attached to checklist.

*1st hour*: *10 spp.*; *2nd*: *+9*; *3rd*: *+7 & 1 taxa*; *4th*: *+1* = *27
spp. & 1 taxa*
