Dig into the Daystar site if you haven't already, and download the trouble-shooting guides there. I suspect that at one time Daystar tech new more about Apple Tsunami motherboards than Apple knew about them.
Then take the Voodoo card out and look at it carefully to make sure that there is no discolouration around the processor chip to indicate that it has overheated. Then throw it away and put in a cheap ATI card like the 4-meg Mach64, just to try it out. I used to have several here that I picked up at garage sales or swap meets for $4.00 or $5.00. I have two Daystar 800 MP boxes here, one with a very lame 32-meg Radeon 7000 (for OSX compatibility) and a 64-meg Voodoo 5 5500 in the other, I think. My favourite all-porpoise video cards for the Daystar computers are the 8-meg Number Nine Imagine 128, ixMicro 8-meg Ultimate Rez (in spite of the artifacts), 64-meg Voodoo5 5500, and of course the truly OUTSTANDING Formac 300 MHz 16-meg Proformance 3. Check on eBay and also replace the PRAM battery. That can KILL the video. -- Old Mac MP is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Old Mac MP list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/oldmacmp.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:OldMacMP@mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/oldmacmp%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
