Hi All,
In my continuing efforts to fix my Daystar Genesis 528 MP, I have a few more questions and things I would like to try. First, does anyone have the voltage readings for the power supply, so I could test it to make sure it is functional? What would I test, and what should I be looking for?

Second, is there any way to test the logic board to determine if it is functioning or not? The problem is a chime but no video. I have reset CUDA and replaced battery, which reads 3.7 volts, so I know it is good. This behavior is the same with both video cards (iX Micro and flashed [not by me] 3Dfx).

I've tried disconnecting everything - hard drive, CD drives, and floppy. Tried without keyboard too. Here's the thing that has me stumped: I cannot reset the PRAM. I have tried and tried and tried, but it just ignores the command.

Open to any and all suggestions.

Kyle-

Down load the service manual:

http://daystartechnology.com/Daystar_Technology_Mac_Support/Daystar_Technology_Mac_Downloads/Daystar_Digital_Mac_Downloads/Mac_Support_Documents/manuals/Man_GnsMP_Service.pdf

The power supply voltages are listed in Appendix "C". There are also trouble shooting charts and procedures in the book. The power supply voltages have to be measured under load as a switching supply won't start without a load attached.

I had a similar problem with one of my Daystars (I have three Genesis MP's and one Millennium). I finally traced it to a bad motherboard and everything was cool after that.
