Hi Al,I'd recommend getting an inexpensive PCI USB card for the 8500, and then getting an 802.11 USB adapter. You'll have to look for ones that support Mac OS 8.6 or later, which I think is the minimum for good USB support on the Mac. At least that way the 802.11 adapter will be usable on other machines as well.
I haven't seen 802.11 PCI cards for the Mac that work pre-OS X. But I could be wrong on that.
