> Hi Michael, > By the way, sorry if I'm being annoying or sounding short-tempered, but > I've been dealing with one Genesis for about 10 months now. > You lucky S.O.B. I wish I had ten months to play with my computers. The one I use most at home is a Daystar with a Sonnet 800 MHz G4 card in it. After not using my stock Daystar Genesis for a few months I fired it up today, just to test an external SCSI drive and a bunch of 8, 16, 32 and 64-meg DIMMs I was curious about. The BEST way to get the Daystar up to speed is to erase the boot drive and then start it up off the original System CD and run the installer. There are TWO installers on the Daystar CD, one for the OS and the other for MP extras. Run them both or run just the OS installer. Then run an installer for OS 8.1 or OS8.6. THEN run the installer for Daystar extras again off the original CD.
