I tried using /bin/bash instead of /bin/sh but the segfault is still thrown.
I found out the line of bin/openca-configure that causes the problem (it is
the one highlighted below):

essential here (perldoc Encode)

I tried to use openca-base-1.1.0 since with openca-base-1.1.1 I had some
compilation issues. This time everything went fine with compilation and
installation but when I try to generate the configuration files I face the
same problem again.
