See the ConnectScatteredPoints.net example in the DX examples. Specifically, the CO2.general file it uses to import from CO2.lis. Back when I was working with DX, I found it simpler to just write my data in DX native format (text or binary) as opposed to figuring out if/how I could import it with the general array importer.
