on the 29 october ubuntu will go to the 9.10 version (KarmicKoala), then mono will update to the 2.4 version.
Offcouse mono can be updated to the 2.4 version on 9.04 ubuntu by adding a repo: Users of Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) can install *Mono 2.4* by using Synaptic from the Monoxide<https://launchpad.net/%7Edirecthex/+archive/monoxide> (*https://launchpad.net/~directhex/+archive/monoxide*) repository. Monoxide is an unofficial community project from one of the Debian/Ubuntu Mono developers to ship the latest Ubuntu packages for the current stable Ubuntu release.
