For installing Oralux 0.7 alpha on hard disk, two partitions are required: one for the softwares and the data (around 2 GB or more) and one for the swap partition (e.g. 512 MB). If you create these partitions under knoppix-installer, the partition type is 82 for a swap partition, and 83 for the other partition (linux type). Once the swap partition is created, please follow these 4 stages: 1. Reboot 2. Format the swap partition. For example, if the swap is /dev/hda5, type the following command as root: mkswap /dev/hda5 3. Enable the swap partition: swapon -a 4.
