Dear fellow Folders, The CFC is running a monthly challenge, and we invite all folders and creators to participate actively!
October's Challenge - Win 100 USD! Our next challenge is called *The **Eight**-Grid Multi-Form* <https://www.cfcorigami.com/challenge/eight-grid-multi-form>! And this time, we have a sponsor who wishes to boost your creativity with a motivational prize of* one hundred USD *for each of the two categories: figurative and abstract. Apparently, this crease pattern (attached) is a great starting point for many models that are easy to fold, and hence easy to teach. At least two creators are using it for teaching purposes: Vincent Floderer <https://cfcorigami.com/user/548>, who also produces pre-cut sheets of paper for teaching, and Cliff Landesman <https://cfcorigami.com/creator/clandesman>, who runs a parallel project, as shown on this site <http://precreased.wordpress.com/>. Cliff is also our sponsor and will be the judge of this challenge. His vote will get 50% of the final score, while the visitors' votes will have the rest. The rules are simple. - Create a new model. - The starting point must be a grid of 8, plus the diagonals (see attached CP). - You must submit diagrams and/or a video tutorial. - You must agree to share this model for any non-profit teaching activities. Please note that a teachable model will get bonus points! August's Challenge The winner of the August Challenge, Action Model <https://www.cfcorigami.com/challenge/action-models>, is: Living Dead <https://www.cfcorigami.com/challenge/action-models/entry/living-dead>by Malcolm Smith <https://www.cfcorigami.com/creator/anotherpapersmith>. Congratulations!! *September's** Challenge* Don't forget to vote for the Seed Package <https://www.cfcorigami.com/challenge/seed-package> Challenge! Let's go gridding!!
