SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF RUSSIAN-INDIAN SUPERSONIC CRUISE MISSILE BRAHMOS 

NEW DELHI, November 3 (RIA Novosti, Natalia Shilo) - On Wednesday, India conducted a 
successful launch of a supersonic anti-ship cruise missile BrahMos jointly developed 
by Russia and India. 

According to sources in the Indian Defense Ministry, the cruise missile capable of 
destroying targets at the range of up to 300 km was launched from Indian combat ship 
Rajput in the Bay of Bengal near the coast of the Indian state of Orissa.   ….
