I expect that un-profitable or merely less than nominally profitable products to be discontinued. That means that the medium format lines will disappear quickly. They just don't sell enough units. Maybe there will be a FF (24x36mm) or 1.3x crop DSLR using the "crippled" K mount and the 645D may be introduced if it's far enough along, but will be discontinued, quickly, if sales don't meet expectations. Let's face it Pentax only kept the SLR business because their corporate image required it. What does Hoya care? The Pentax SLR isn't their image, they want the medical products business.
