Yeah I follow this paranoid line of thinking quite well and agree.
Pentax is not so foolish as to deliberately shoot themselevs in the
foot, all the time.  When they don't have the special digital
optimized lenses, the legacy glass is a reason to buy their new
bodies.  When 90% or more of their production is APS-C, then the
legacy lenses are not as good.  For the 645, the legacy lenses must by
pronounced as superior.

If 135mm format body comes out sometime, unless they have new lenses
to go with it, the legacy glass will once again be elevated to a
higher status, and will still surely held up as a reson for purchase.

I guess it gets down to any image taken through a lens, looks better
than one taken without one.
