so other than the hood interfering there are no problems at all with
the 35ltd macro? really? I thought it had poor corners or something on
FF.

It *might* be a little weak in the corners wide open, but not so much that lightroom can't correct. Besides, when I'm shooting macros, the edges are so out of focus I don't notice a fuzzy bit more.

Even the 28-105 and 15-30 vignette a bit in the corners.

053 through 159 are with the 35. but I guess you wouldn't notice any weakness in the corners with it on those.

I tried out my macro lenses (DA35, DFA 50 and Tamron 90/2.8) last night on
some flowers in my front yard. I lit them with a couple of LED bulbs in
clamp lights and had some fun playing with the setup.

It was fun, I decided that none of my lenses suck on the K-1. The only real
issue I had with the DA-35 macro was that if I pull the sunshade all of the
way out, it'll block the angle of view a bit. So, I'm very happy, this means
the DA35 makes a totally suitable walkabout lens on the K-1.

Most of the set are pretty generic chiaroscuro-ish flower shots, but I
rather quite like this one:

C&C appreciated. As much as I like it, my feeling is that it could be made
even better. K-1, Tamron 90/2.8 ISO 100 f/2.8 1/60 slightly cropped to
recompose the stamen/pistil from the center.

For them that care to compare macro lenses full set of 18 at:
