On 23/7/16, Christine Aguila, discombobulated, unleashed:

>Cool! Thanks for the heads up. Do you have any programming recommendations?

Here's an article about the app:

in-the-u-s/>

Radio 4 is the non-music station, with great documentaries, comedy, talk
shows, and features.

'Desert Island Discs' is a brilliant 45 minute listen, once a week. A
guest gets to choose their favourite music that they would take with
them to a desert island for a life of solitude, while reminiscing about
how they came to like each piece. On air Sundays 10.15am GMT (we are
currently in British Summer Time - BST - so it's 11.15am currently) but
each episode available to listen retrospectively for (i think) a month.
Have a listen.

I'm not a huge Radio 4 listener but Alma also recommends:

'Last Word' - a weekly obituary programme (sounds grisly but actually
really good)

'Front Row' - arts magazine programme Mon-Fri

'In Our Time' - History / philosophy / ethics discussion prog

A lot of these progs have an international feel to them as many guests
are from Europe and North America.

There's nothing quite like a balmy afternoon in the sitting room
surrounded by bookshelves listening to Desert Island Discs ;-)

Enjoy!
