Terri, We use Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate for Hope, who had surgery for hip dysplasia, but it's already in her food. I don't know for sure, but I would guess that the liquid would be easier to administer--we've had better luck with liquid medicines than pills. If she likes the taste, you can let her lick it from the syringe. If she doesn't, well she's more likely to swallow a liquid and spit out a pill. As for a brand name, I'm not sure what to recommend, but you could look at the Drs. Foster and Smith catalog for some brands. Can your vet make a suggestion or at least give you some tips on picking a type?
