Having said that, if plug still needs a VPS host, I have this dedicated Xen-based VPS server running Debian Etch which host my personal site (not a busy site, <20 hits daily). I'm willing to have PLUG website hosted there. It is runnning also lighttpd and Drupal, but I haven't gotten around to install eAccelerator yet. The server is in the US. You guys might want to check out the response time at http://www.michaeltinsay.com if it is ok. The storage space of the VPS is not that big (around 4GB in total, with about 2.8GB free), and though the bandwidth is unmetered/unlimited, throughput is capped at around 1Mbps (based on my short tests) -- quite ok for mostly text websites. Oh, and I haven't really did much hardening there except for disabling unnecessary services and still troubleshooting why iptables doesn't seem to work. Domain? (BIG question mark) * Experiment with a little bit of social networking once membership increases. After which, we FINALLY deal with that niggling SEC Registration, and eventually the burning issues at hand. I FULLY accept responsibility for the lack of action these past months. Again I apologize and resolve to update more often plus double my efforts. I want nothing more than to get PLUG's voice heard by making it relevant and worthwhile.
