I got my issue in the mail today and here goes:
Cover -
I like that there isn't a lot of text and that is basically it. I hate that
they repeat themselves with the banner above the title and then more on Ashley
right below it - do they think we are stupid or blind? As for Ashley herself -
her face looks like it has SO MUCH make-up on it - almost like you could take
yor fingernail and create a line from her forehead down past her nose - it's
really bad. And the bunny is lame.
Dear Playboy -
I can't believe that they only published one anti-Pam letter - you know they
had to get a ton of them.
Babe of the Month -
From what everyone described I was expecting someone really spectaular but
for the second time in this issue I am disappointed (see Playmate). Maybe this
is just a bad photo, but she just looks ok here (at least to me).
Interview - Bill Maher -
I am interested to read this, but hasn't he already been interviewed?
The Wild World of Playboy -
I like some of these foreign Playmates, but it's hard to tell based solely on
one photo. The standout for me is Edyta Kochanowska from Poland. She looks
spectacular in this photo and after seeing Kasia who is also from Poland I'd
like to suggest to Hef that maybe it's time to leave the German Playmates at
home and start bringing some of the Polish girls over. I also loved the shot
of Olga Kubatova from Russia, but I'd want to see more shots before making up
my mind if she's US Playmate material.
LA Confidential 2007 -
Might be interesting, but did they REALLY need to publish the pic of Brittany
Spears getting out of the limo? Again, pre-internet I could see it, but now it
just makes it see like Playboy is once again late to the party.
Miss April, Giuliana Marino -
Ok, so everyone who posts on this list that has seen photos of Giuliana has
RAVED about her. I checked out her CyberClub preview pictorial and I thought
ok, yeah, she's cute and she has a great body, but she's not the next best
thing since sliced bread that she was being described as. When I looked at her
pictorial my first thought was wow - she must have pissed Hef off and bad.
First of all there are only 7 total pictures of her (plus the CF). Second, of
those 7 photos I'd say she looks above average in 3. To some that might seem
lile a good percentage, but to me if you are going to run so few shots they
should ALL be great. Then I opened up her CF and I decided that yep, she
pissed Hef off and he totally fucked her by publishing a CF that makes her skin
look horrid. It looks like a photo that someone took of their girlfriend - you
can see the scar on her hip right on down to the stubble left over from her
last pubic waxing. Sorry, maybe it's the dawn of a new
era in Playmate photography where they want to show the Playmate as she is
without any retouching, but I personally prefer the polished, flawless look
that they usually present. I mean isn't that kind of the point? If we wanted
scars and ingrown hair bumps wouldn't we just look at our girlfriends and
wives? Again, maybe it's just me. I'm ok with the set and pose, but I think
Giuliana is just an average Playmate that reminds me a little bit of Teri
Weigel.
Dr. T to the Rescue -
This looks interesting to me.
Star Struck (WWE chick) -
Yawn. She's gross and the retrospective pictorial at the end serves only as
a reminder that this annual feature needs to be laid to rest (as if the photo
of Chyna isn't proof enough).
Playmate News -
The best part is Allison and Jayde are both featured twice.
Next Month -
Neither picture does much for me, but at least it's not another WWE chick.
