Glenn Beck
announced<http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/33035/>today
the newest installment of Beck-bashing: an article that's soon to
appear in Playboy magazine. Along with a double-paged satirical illustration
of Glenn Beck, Playboy magazine's Christmas issue is to include what Glenn
Beck has described as" sloppy journalism that is happening at the lowest
level, the lowest rung of journalism."

Why has this particular article drawn the ire of Glenn Beck? Beck pointed to
the one-sided slant that is, according to Beck, “so sloppy”, namely for
disregarding his past statements-- statements which Beck feels demonstrate
his consistency:

*“...if you've listened to me throughout the years, you know that I've
called for George Bush's impeachment, I called for investigation into the
scandals that were happening with the Republican Party, I told you that the
I told you that the game that George Bush was playing with interest rates
and these easy mortgages back in 200, I think 2003 or 2004, I said don't do
it, it's a game, it's going to destroy us. I told you that the economy was
coming unglued. I told you there was some kind of transnationalist thing
going on with George Bush at the border. I mean, I've been very consistent
on all of this stuff. But they don't even look at any of that."*

Glenn Beck also described on-air the details of a picture of Glenn Beck
posted on a two-page layout in Playboy magazine, essentially mocking every
thing from prayer, the Bible, and guns to anti-Obama sentiments and
aversions to socialism.

The magazine is the latest in a line of entertainment venues, along with Jon
Stewart<http://www.examiner.com/x-26918-Glenn-Beck-Examiner%7Ey2009m11d6-Funny-or-not-Jon-Stewart-mocks-Glenn-Becks-appendicitis-watch>,
SNL, and South Park which make Beck the object of both jokes and criticism.
Beck, however, responded today with a line of reasoning which contends that
his detractors have only been able to mock Glenn Beck on account of his
presentation and mannerisms, but they will not refute the "actual facts".

Glenn Beck implored his audience to not be fooled by parodies of him because
the bottom line is-- it's all about the facts.

This is not the first time that Glenn Beck has asked people to focus on the
facts of what he discusses. Beck actually issued a challenge to the Obama
administration and Anita Dunn, specifically, to correct Beck on any
misrepresentations of facts which he may have made on his Glenn Beck
program.

By employing the example of self-avowed communist Van Jones, Glenn Beck
urged his listeners to stay on the facts... and consider his message more
than his mannerisms.

*"If they can distract you with mannerisms, if they can ridicule me and
make me into a joke without ever addressing any of the actual facts that I
bring to the table, well, then they win."-- *Glenn Beck
