Once again, thank you to Bob for your time & effort in putting on this show. Considering the ecomonic hardship many are feeling, I was surprised that he added a third show for this yr. Good for I because I wasn't able to go to Chi (a-gain!). Maybe if there's only one LA show next yr, I'll have the resources to go to Chi again. Nevertheless, whatever your expectations were, mine were met -- and then some. The Tower Suite upgrade was $20 more expensive then in May, but this was another pilgrimage to pinup Heaven, so what the Hell? I sprung for it. Although I was suprised when I got a special needs suite. The bathroom in the bedroom was about the size of room at your garden variety Motel 6 -- minus the bathroom. Last time I looked, I wasn't wheelchair-bound & I do get around pretty well. That's either all they had for the suites or the desk clerk didn't check to see what room they were giving me. Maybe he saw my dolly & figured I need the added floor space. In the ballroom itself, not once did I notice any extreme in the temp. I never noticed that it was particulary warm or cold. Yes, I'm sure it had to do with the fewer bodies compared to previous shows. So, on that end, no problems with my comfort. I did notice a slight uptick in the traditionally busiest time of the wknd: the Sat 1-4PM period. Although, there was a little cheating with the back crorner of the room being set aside for the platform for the radio show. It may not have been as busy as previous shows before the economic downturn, but it appeared to be an uptick in activity compared to May. And I did notice the low-level buzz generated from all the acitivity was a bit more pronounced. It was a lot healtheir than May -- a show that seemed to be on a respirator. A personal measure I use for attendance is that I had to make my way around with my dolly while having to keep from running over other attendees tootsies. THAT didn't happen in May. I was clear sailing, then -- or rolling. Except for the area around the stage. I know, it's not a scientifically-accepted measure, but I'm sure the attendees appreciated not having to watch out for 50 lbs of paper-filled box rolling over them. And I don't discount the water table. As someone whose can go through both days without eating or drinking anything because of Einstein's Theory Of Relativity coming into play, being able to have a water station to take a break & get my second wind is a biggg plus. CynMyers might refer to the room as, "the dungeon" (I refer to it as "the basement"), but at least the guards gave you water. It's tough when you're so caught up that you forget to get sustenance. I'm sure I can come up with an additional item or three, but this will suffice for now. As for whom I visited, I haven't forgotten them. Thanks again, Bob. In terms of the logistics & planning execution, another well run show. Let's do it agin, whaddya say?
