[R-sig-Geo] Contour Plot - Map

Hi
I have been using R for 6 months now for various Genetics Data analysis 
including simulations. I wish someone could give me a step by step procedure 
for creating a contour plot for XYZ data and overlay it on a Geographical Map. 
My data is something like this
X(Latitude)        Y(Longitude)         Z(data value at that point)19° 37'      
              78° 30'                      2015° 19'                     78° 
17'                      328° 04'                        77° 36'                
     4012° 34'                    78° 37'                        27and so 
on.....
I request anybody who knows to draw such a plot on a map to kindly provide me 
with a step by step  procedure.
