I multiple times expressed my opinion that our process for nominating release blockers - better: for ensuring that no release is made with a known blocker-worthy issue - is broken. The fact that a basic requirement - adding an issue to the "depends on"-list of the meta issue - cannot be fulfilled a some people somehow seems to strengthen this point of view. Well, probably you can request the "canconfirm" privilege for IssueZilla - this is done by sending a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] -, which should implicitly give you the permissions to modify the dependencies list.
