Hi Stefan, what can be the fix? This problem occurs because of the compiler switch in a developer snapshot. So in my naive understanding the fix can be only to switch back to the old compiler. Is this a solution? This problem does not exist when you update from BEA1 to BEA2. It is only when you switch from versions older than m7 to a newer build. So when a user install the Beta first, he will never have this problem. Thorsten Stefan Taxhet wrote:
Hi, to me it seems that issue 88381 Office crashes after update installation with m7 (http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=88381) and it's variants / duplicates DEV300m9: Error with C++ Runtime Library (won't start) (http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=88542) hit many users - including me ;-)The significant impact I see is that it makes updates too difficult and renders the Online Update for useless. I think we should ensure that we can easily notify and update users of developer snapshots including OOo 3.0 Beta. So for me this is a showstopper.Thougts?
