Hello Eugene,

the file associations are not written by the OpenOffice.org 3.0 Beta on 
Windows platform. This version allows the installation parallel to 
version 2.4. If you want to have system integration and you allow to 
overwrite system integration of a previous version then you can start 
the setup with a parameter:

setup.exe WRITE_REGISTRY=1

The system integration of a version that has been overwritten can be 
repaired by using the 'repair' installation option.

BTW I know it was disabled by default. But how to accosiate files with OOo?
