My experience is quite different. I'm a long time Kontact user (I used
fetchmail to deliver to local maildir folders), but after installing
Citadel, I switched to Evolution soon after because of Kmails horrible
imap support.

* It shows empty mails in the preview pane.
* It renders multi-part messages wrong in the preview pane.
* It messes up long threads in the messages list.
* It's impossible to store sieve scripts using kio_sieve.
* etc.
