to use it for storing of its addresses

And no, I don't want to authenticate with LDAP. We will use Citadels
authentication. We just want external email adresses

to show up in Citadel.

I think I will try the following:

Read our existing LDAP

rewrite the output with scripts to meet citadels expectations

write it to the openldap server used by Citadel

repeat with cron job.

We are doing similar with another application.
