Craig: Please disregard everything davidfrankie said. Here's how it really is: * Citadel is one of the oldest open source projects in existence anywhere. It began in 1981. It isn't going to fall into disuse anytime soon. It is now a very popular software package; rough estimates now number the installed seats in the millions. * There are a number of developers who occasionally take on projects that are commissioned by "customers" who use Citadel. The established protocol is to outline a project here in the support forum in order to locate a developer who finds the project interesting and has the skill set required to do the work. Our only requirement is that any new code must be contributed back to the project under the terms of the GPL. * As for a migration stragegy: we generally recommend that you use a tool such as IMAPcopy or IMAPsync to migrate from one server to another, using IMAP resources on both ends. This strategy has generally been found to be satisfactory in the past.
