Hi, I apollogize for using the term "crash"  'cos there's no such thing
happening; it's more like a momentary error, displaying:

Cannot  open /usr/share/citadel-webcit/static//null: Conseguido (<- done)  

My Client: Windows XP SP3, Firefox 3.0.2

You're right, when reproducing the procedure the message  is sent to the
selected user with all characters intact with no crashes, but if you use the
&Ntilde; or any of &aacute; e &iacute; &oacute; &uacute; when replying to a
message it does show this error.
